efforts and improve the quality of life for the planet, and its
people. We’re inviting everyone to participate in emissions markets in
net positive ways, and we have the expertise to guide you. We’re

Entrepreneur, environmentalist, intrepid traveler, and
adventurous foodie.
Ed’s primary message is that environmental and financial
sustainability can – and must – coexist. Backed by this
belief, Ed has earned a multitude of business and
environmental accolades from around the world. He
understands that people and organizations must be
incentivized to participate in the low carbon economy, or
they’ll continue to do as they’ve always done.
From his first job at a gas station, Ed went on to found
Rent-a-Wreck and steer it towards impressive growth and
expansion throughout the 1980s. And that was just the
beginning, since then he’s become a bonafide serial
entrepreneur with more than 30-years experience growing
companies in Canada, the US, and the UK. He’s lectured on
entrepreneurship at various universities, including
Pepperdine and Stanford U, and his success in business has
been the subject of case studies for multiple MBA and
commerce programs across North America.
Ed has an outstanding track record of strategic corporate
leadership, and efficient growth and environmental
consciousness across multiple industries. With him at the
helm, Radicle is fiercely focused on their goal of
becoming the foremost authority in Measure-Report-Verify
(MRV) and climate change mitigation strategies in the
world.

Climate change expert with her eye on some high peaks.
Shahira is deeply passionate about developing solutions to
mitigate the impacts of climate change. That passion has
been the guiding force behind her extensive education and
led to some very impressive credentialing and equally
impressive experiences. Shahira’s Masters dissertation
explored how climate change will impact the growth of
agroforestry tree species planted between crops or
pastures.
In a move to California from Canada to work for Terra
Global Capital, she led the first US-based protocol test
to prove that carbon offset credits can be developed from
rice production. The net of her time in both Canada and
the US is a strong background in environmental research
and policy, and detailed expertise in data management and
analysis, climate change strategy, carbon mitigation, and
project management and development. In layman’s terms,
Shahira has the skills to help businesses create
meaningful environmental impact.
When she’s not poring over spreadsheets, she can be found
planning her next bucket list item which happens to be
summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro, and by no coincidence is also
where her parents grew up.

Clean-tech innovator, environmental market pioneer, and
temporarily landlocked surfer.
Alastair’s personal mission is to help governments
implement environmental market frameworks that stimulate
green innovation and employment opportunities. Once
successful in this, we can all expect to see (and benefit
from) lasting reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
Lofty goals, but then again, he’s already racked up some
pretty impressive achievements.
Over his career, Alastair has become an uncontested leader
in the worldwide environmental markets space. He designed
and developed one of the world’s first software platforms
for aggregating and quantifying large-scale emission
reductions in Alberta in 2008. From there he founded
multiple businesses. Their success proves that emission
reduction markets can simultaneously build wealth,
generate jobs, create export opportunities, and protect
the environment for future generations.
Environmental foresight is the foundation on which
Alastair builds companies. This former teen paper route
tycoon leveraged his geographic information systems and
software design experience to generate $40 million dollars
in documented carbon credits for Alberta farmers in a
single decade. At the same time saving emitters $30
million and creating an excess of another $30 million in
company equity for what would go on to become Radicle.

Chief Financial Officer
Environmental quantification whiz, climate change
mitigator, and bowling devotee.
Dwayne is as much a natural leader as he is a proponent
for the natural environment. He credits this to his
Prairie upbringing. A distinctive sense of place coupled
with running a family business and playing (and coaching)
team sports taught Dwayne the importance of building
lasting relationships. Much like the relationships needed
to tackle climate change. Through the implementation of
new technologies, Dwayne helps Radicle’s clients do just
that. Meeting environmental regulations, developing
corporate sustainability goals, and reporting/quantifying
improvements — are just some of the ways Dwayne is helping
lead a cleantech energy revolution.
Dwayne’s career has spanned over three decades, beginning
as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young, where he
earned his designation. From there, he would use his
quantitative prowess to pivot into the oil and gas sector,
filling a number of senior leadership roles. One notable
role came in 2002, when he was appointed as the Chief
Financial Officer of Western Lakota Energy Services.
During his time there — staying true to his commitment to
relationship building — Dwayne would develop partnerships
with several First Nation and Metis communities. In 2006,
Dwayne’s role would evolve; due to a merger between
Savanna Energy Services and Western Lakota. Now overseeing
business development and operations at Savanna’s start-up
enterprise in Australia, Dwayne’s leadership would go on
to contribute close to 75% of Savanna’s corporate EBITDA
in 2016.
When Dwayne isn’t quantifying environmental improvements
for the clean tech sector, you’ll find him at his
family-owned bowling centre in Cochrane, holding out for
the “perfect game”. Keep on rolling, Dwayne.

Brent is the rare breed of professional who balances deep
technical knowledge with an entrepreneurial flair. An
autodidact from youth, he started multiple businesses, and
self-taught the necessary technical skills along the way.
In elementary school, Brent learned the challenge of
operating costs — he had to shutter his lawn care
business after his parents refused to allow the continued
use of their lawnmower. In high school, he founded a
software company that provided development, infrastructure
support, and system administration to several larger
commercial projects.
From there, he went on to work for a small IT operation
where he gained exposure to the oil and gas and service
industry, as well as several startups that were launched
from within the organization, One of which was an
application created for the first-to-market operations
under the new carbon credit legislation. It generated the
first serialized and audited CSA carbon offset emission
credits for resale and led him to Radicle, where he
oversees the deployment and evolution of our proprietary
software.
When he’s not sitting behind a computer screen with a
furrowed brow, Brent is outside climbing, skiing, biking,
or sailing somewhere exciting and exotic.
